I didn’t mean to step away and not write for the past week and a half. I even have a dozen or so post ideas floating around in my mind. But what I don’t seem to have much of anymore is time. And that’s because this month and last:
- I started teaching again, a course that’s new to me and one that I continue to tweak and develop along the way
- I submitted some applications for some professional development opportunities, got a paper accepted to a conference (here I come, Denver! woohoo!)
- We listed our house for sale (meaning that we slaved away every waking hour making it “show-worthy”)
- We found a daycare that we adore for C. and added our name to the waiting list (more on that if I can get my act together and write about it)
- We’ve continued to look for a new house for us (no luck yet)
To put it mildly: we’ve been busy. I am excited about everything that’s going on right now but I’m also tired and wary of doing anything more than what I need to get done on a daily basis. Thanks for being patient and indulging me in this little bit of time off.
Wishing you a productive week and a wonderful weekend!

Glad things are going well, but I can totally relate to the weariness. I feel tired – pretty much all of the time. But, I’m not trying to sell a house on top of everything else. How do you do it?!? So, so, so excited about the news of the Denver conference (again). October is a lovely time here!
I know that feeling all too well! flat buying and selling is such a nightmare in itself! You’ll come out at the other end soon enough though. Good luck!
Denver! That’s only an hour away from me :D
Don’t worry about us, we’ll be over here waiting patiently and offering virtual hugs and foot massages when all the business calms down.
Aw, it’s sweet of you to pop in and say hello! Best of luck with everything on your plate–it sounds like things are moving and grooving for you :-) I always enjoy hearing the updates about your life.
