Come out for the 3rd annual Des Moines Tweed Ride!
I’ve been really looking forward to this ever since I saw the event listed on the Bike Iowa website and have spent last week getting our outfits in order. If you’re not familiar with Tweed Rides or Tweed Runs, read more about them here.
I’m drawing inspiration from the Tweed Ride Pinterest board I’ve been curating (an excellent form of procrastination) and I can’t wait to join Des Moines’ riders on Sunday. If you’re in the Des Moines area, hope to see you there!

Chicago’s Guy Fawkes bonfire ride is Saturday the 10th but I’m having a hell of a time finding maternity tweed. It’s not a forgiven fabric in the stretch department. I’m hoping for some last minute hail mary luck at the thrift this week.
Stretchy corduroy in all its glory? I’m just saying… it could be your saving grace here. Very 90s chic.
