enter to win an ibert child seat for your bike (closed)

It’s no secret that I love my iBert child seat, which allows me to bike with my one year old. Today I’m so excited to be offering an iBert to one of you, because…

the generous people of iBert have offered to give one lucky reader an iBert child seat of their own!

To enter this giveaway, follow the instructions below and check back next Monday to see if you won. Contest is open to US residents until Sunday, Oct. 7th at 9:00 pm Central Time.

If you’d like to learn more about the iBert child seat, see my review of it here as well as posts related to biking with the iBert in the Biking with Kids archives. If you have any questions about the iBert seat, please do not leave them on this post but email me separately with them.

Giveaway Rules:

For one entry, leave a comment on this post telling us what your perfect bike outing with the iBert would look like. Where would you go? Who are you hoping to take along in your iBert seat?

For a second entry, become a fan of the iBert page on Facebook. Then leave a separate comment here telling me that you did so!

Good luck! A winner will be chosen at random on Monday, Oct. 8th and announced here!

I would love to take my little one to his babysitter on the iBert. That would be so handy to have in front of me on my bike!

  2. Erin says:

During the fall, I always get the itch to ride my bike through local parks to see the leaves change. I would love to take my toddler daughter with me. She’s a speed junkie and would love to go fast on mom’s bike.

  3. Debra says:

If I won I’d be so excited to take my 21 month old daughter to the Cape Cod Canal for a beautiful bike ride.

  4. Bobbie says:

Oh, you know we’d totally be taking T and C out on a matching iBert bike date to the park!

  5. Bethany says:

I’d love to put Leo (27 months old) in an iBert so we can take his big brother to and from kindergarten by bike!

I’d take Sam on a trip to see the fall colors around Colorado.

  7. Jackie says:

I’m also a Facebook fan of iBert

  8. Kathy says:

Love this blog and I too would love an iBert! Yay simplybikblog.com and iBert!

  9. Hannah says:

Right now we drive our daughter to daycare, but it’s also accessible via a beautiful 4 mile bike-path ride along the river. With the iBert, I could take her there and pick her up every day!

  10. Hannah says:

I also liked iBert on the Book of Face. :)

  11. Brettania says:

My perfect outing would be along the nature trail near our house in Columbia, MO. I would take my 18 month son for a long ride along with my husband.

  12. Brettania says:

I became a fan of the iBert page on Facebook

  13. I would LOVE to win an iBert. We have a beautiful lake trail near our house and before baby my husband and I went riding all the time. Now we have to take separate rides so one of us can watch the baby. We really want to bring her along!

  14. I also liked iBert on Facebook!

  15. Charity says:

I would take my son Asher on a ride to the Cider Mill in our town then for a ride along the river.

  16. Charity says:

Would love to take my son out with my husband to Nike around the city, see the fall colors, and maybe have a picnic!

  20. Sabrina says:

My little one does not like the bike trailer because her bike helmet pushes forward and it is not comfortable. So our family bike outings have been very limited. An iBert would allow us to hit all of the great bike trails in Iowa (especially the HTT!) as a family!

  21. Sabrina says:

I also “liked” their FB page! :)

  22. Kayla says:

I would love to take my daughter for a ride along the Clark Fork River, soaking in the fall colors. We might have to wait until next summer/fall since she is only 4 mos old. :)

  23. Jourdan says:

I would take a ride through town and head to the library with my little man, followed by a ride to a picnic lunch at the park :)

  24. Jourdan says:

    Facebook fan! :)

  25. I have passed the point of needing an iBert and my daughter loves the trailer… But, I’d love to win a seat for my brother and sister-in-law, who just welcomed my beautiful nephew, Jas. My brother is the active, international sort based in Canada for the time being. I can see him riding around Europe with Jas – or even riding around Denver when he visits!

  26. Melissa Van Wassen says:

Would love to have something like this to bike around with Carson…What is the weight limit? Is he too old now? Hope to win!!!

  27. Katie says:

It would be So cool to win an iBert! What a great way to bike with your child! :)

  28. Tiffany says:

I live in Chicago and would use the iBert to bike the lakefront path with my little one – I can imagine the excitement of little one seeing all the other people on the path – bikers, runners, roller bladers, dogs, strollers and volleyball players – as well as feeling the fresh air and cool mists from Lake Michigan! The lakefront path is really the jewel of Chicago – and there is no better way to experience it than on a bike – I would love to share that with my Baby. And a trailer just won’t cut it, because it wouldn’t be nearly as good a vantage point to see all those faces and I couldn’t interact with my Baby!

  29. Tiffany says:

    I liked iBert on Facebook!

  30. wheelissa says:

My perfect iBert outing would involve biking along one of the excellent trails here in Colorado, and finding a beautiful picnic spot. I’d use the iBert to carry my bike-loving son Heiko, and I would be accompanied by my sweetheart! Family bike date!

  31. Catherine says:

I’m due this winter with our first child. Every summer we visit my parents at Long Beach Island in New Jersey – would be perfect to take the little one along on bike rides with my dad!

  32. Ruth says:

I would love to take my baby boy on a ride down the canal path just behind our apartment – it’s so beautiful right now with the leaves changing colour and floating along the water. He loves being outside and he loves the canal path – I would feel comfortable and safe riding with him there and it would be a great outing for both of us!

  33. Ruth says:

I also liked iBert on facebook.

  34. Emlyn says:

I would love to win an iBert! I live just north of Chicago and have missed riding this summer with our infant. Six months is just too small to ride. But next year we have plans!!! My dream ride would be to do Bike the Drive with the iBert and my daughter. Lakeshore Drive is closed to cars for several hours in the early morning and filled with bikes. My husband and I love riding in this event and can’t wait to share our love of biking with our daughter!

  35. Emlyn says:

I also liked iBert on Facebook.

  36. Anna J says:

I’d take my 9 month-old to the park. Like Sabrina’s child, he dislikes the trailer/bike helmet combo. This would be a great way to get him out!

  37. Katy says:

I can’t wait to take my new baby on a bike picnic or bike camping trip to a wonderful spot on the Coyote Creek Trail from San Jose to Morgan Hill that I discovered while pregnant with him. An iBert would be a lovely way to make that happen!

  38. jamboo says:

we’re fortunate enough to live within blocks of the beach in LA and there’s a wonderful trail that goes along the coast from the south bay up thru santa monica that my husband and I used to do pre-baby (she’s 10months old). we’ve talked endlessly about sharing that ride with her ASAP so the iBert would definitely come in handy for that!

  39. Erica says:

I would love an iBERT! I’ve been trying to figure out when to buy one. Our son is 6 months old and not ready, but he will probably be ready next spring. I can’t wait to go on weekend bike rides with my son and husband!

  40. laura says:

I’m pregnant with my first baby (due in May) and riding my bike around has been one of the best ways to continue to exercise like I always do (and helps with morning sickness, too – much better than being on a bus with stinky people!). My perfect bike outing once my baby is born and can ride safely in a child seat would definitely be to Memorial Drive, a major street in my neighborhood that is closed on summer Sundays. You can sit along the Charles River and take in the breeze and there are even food trucks, including my favorite, a taco truck! I can’t wait to have a child old enough for a bike ride *and* some avocado :)

  41. Janelle G says:

My perfect bike outing would be to take my Son to a local bakery to buy a treat then off to the park to eat said treat and play on the swings/run around.

  42. Janelle G says:

I also like ibert on facebook :)

  43. Karen says:

My husband and I would take our 1 year old out to Long Island to ride around one of the parks there. Right now the weather is perfect, with just a bit of a chill in the air. It would be fun to incorporate a picnic and a stop in the playground.

  44. Erin says:

My perfect first bike outing would be to ride along Lake Michigan with my little Izaak, who will be one next month!. Although, in reality, our first outing would likely be a little tour around our neighborhood. :-)

  45. Erin says:

I also liked iBert on FB.

Thanks for hosting such a great giveaway!

I would love to take my 16 month old daughter out on a ride. Perhaps to the parks down the way from us and the a quick trip to the grocery store. Simple but a very satisfying day!

  49. Emily says:

My wee one is not here yet, but we’d likely use it to find the safest route to Grandma’s house! And in the meantime I’d probably lend it to my cousin for use with her tiny 1.5 year old, or my other cousin and her 2.5 year old!

  50. Emily says:

And I also liked iBert on Facebook!

  51. Karen says:

We just moved into town and are looking forward to hoping on our bikes to ride down to our local farmers’ market! My son, Finley, is 11 months old and ready for a new adventure! The iBert will looks great on Dad’s Surly:)

  52. Michelle says:

I would take my 19 month old son, Oliver for a ride along the Ohio River and to the waterfront playground for some playing.

  56. melissa says:

It will be a little bit before I can use the Ibert but it would be great to have for next summer and fall. I’m expecting my first baby this November and am looking forward to introducing him or her to my love of biking. As far as I the perfect bike adventure it doesn’t really matter where we go, I just love to be on my bike.

  57. Katrina says:

I would love to give the iBert to my best friend who just had a baby in June, and then go for an fall bike ride with her and her son before it gets too cold in Chicago! There would definitely be a stop in the park to eat a snack or two, and then just a leisurely ride enjoy the sights of the city and the beautiful turning leaves.

We live in the Bay Area and I would take my little one on many trips to Half Moon Bay to ride on trails along the coast. She’s only 2 months old, but I’m counting down the days until I can bike with her. I was biking everywhere until the day before I went into labor, and I miss it!

  62. Sarah says:

I liked the iBert page on Facebook.

  63. Greetings! I would take my little girl down the Katy Trail, the longest rails-to-trails project in the US to date and one of the oldest. It begins about four miles from my house. We would enjoy the brisk fall air, the geese flying south, and the leaves falling around us.

  64. Bettina says:

I’d take my boys for a long ride along Chicago’s lake shore.

  65. sarah says:

We have a great rail trail near our house in Boston and I would love to take it to the train station for a day in the city.

  66. Miranda Mora says:

Our almost-4-month old loves to move, move, move! She might not be quite ready for the iBert seat, but when she is, I’d love to ride with her and my husband to our local campground, complete with creek, trees, and geese.
