happy graduation!

We’re recovering from an exciting weekend of graduation celebrations, visits with family and friends, and entirely too much food. Congrats to Dr. T! So excited and proud of you! xoxo

Congratulations! These robes are great! In Holland the graduation committe members wear robes and the doctoral candidate wears a suit!

Hey! I’ve been inspired by you since the beginning of Academichic (RIP, sniff) and I honestly did a double-take at this picture. You look FANTASTIC!!! Love the haircut, you are radiant, you were pregnant – what? (I had a baby 2 weeks after you and I wish I looked like you!). And I really hope this comment doesn’t seem stalkerish to you…I’m just another academic mom. :) Also, congrats to Dr. T and what beautiful little baby. A joyful family. Many happy blessings!

Ha! Susana, what a nice comment! And thanks for following for so long, it’s nice to hear from long-time readers. I credit the many many walks with the stroller for losing some of that baby weight, god knows I gained a ton :) If I look radient, it’s only because I’m really loving where life has taken me: motherhood, writing, wrapping up one academic milestone and seeing where things will take me next. I wish you equal joy in your academic career and motherhood!
